The value for money at Poppy Cottage was excellent, with asuper clean and cozy room. The location was perfect for us, tucked away with beautiful views and plenty of nearby footpaths.

Hotel breakfast could be improved with more variety.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage for our Yorkshire 3 peaks adventure. The location was peaceful, with stunning views of Penyghent and the surrounding hills from the bedroom. The cottage was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and a large living room and dining area. The owner, who lives next door, was friendly and always available if we needed anything. The village of Horton was picturesque, and there were plenty of nearby footpaths to explore. a fantastic place to stay!

    I do recommend this hotel.

The cottage was beautiful, clean, and well equipped. the beds were comfy and the fireplace was ready to light, which made for cozy evenings. the owners were incredibly helpful, even accepting a grocery delivery for us and putting the dairy in the fridge. the location was perfect for exploring the Yorkshire 3 peaks, with plenty of nearby footpaths and a short walk to a nice pub. the views of the surrounding hills were stunning, especially from the bedroom. it was a fantastic place to stay.

That the ensuite shower didn't get very hot, but that may have just been a personal preference. Parking was also a bit tight, especially if you had a big car, with the access between two brick walls being tight as well.

The complimentary WiFi at this 3-star holiday home was a real lifesaver. It was strong and reliable, allowing me to effortlessly stay connected and catch up on some work while sipping my morning coffee. It was like having a personal high-speed internet superhero by my side, saving me from any WiFi woes throughout my stay.

    Thermostat adjustment could be improved.

The owner was friendly and helpful, and the cottage was clean, cosy, and well-equipped. The small fireplace added a lovely touch for cosy evenings. The bedrooms were warm and the living and dining areas were spacious. The cottage was also conveniently close to the train station. The cottage was clean and cozy, perfect for a Christmas getaway. The bedrooms were warm and comfortable, providing a good night's sleep after enjoying the nearby footpaths and taking in the beautiful views of the countryside. One of the best aspects was the well-equipped kitchen, allowing us to prepare our own holiday meals. the owner was friendly and helpful, making sure everything was ready for our stay.

Another downside was the limited parking space, particularly if you have a larger vehicle. It would be helpful to have clearer instructions or options for parking nearby.

It was exactly what I was looking for. the cottage was clean and well-equipped, with cosy bedrooms and a small fireplace for those chilly evenings. the views of Penyghent and the surrounding hills from the bedroom were stunning. the owner, who lived next door, was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There were plenty of nearby footpaths to explore, and a short walk led to a nice pub.

We had a wonderful stay at a lovely cottage tucked away in a quiet location with fine views of the hills. The cottage was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the well-equipped kitchen and large living room were perfect. The friendly owner next door was always available to assist us if needed, and the proximity to the train station was convenient. We also enjoyed exploring the picturesque village of Horton and nearby Chapel le Dale. I highly recommend this accommodation.
